In 1994, PTC was created to provide Vocational and Educational services for adults.
In 2001, PTC began to provide strategically focused literacy skills training and contextualized teaching.
In 2003, PTC launched Skills Acquisition Programs.
In 2005, PTC successfully registered for ISO 9001:2000. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) which is the world's largest developer of standards.
In 2006, PTC registered its first centre as a Private Career College under the Private Career College Act, 2005.
PTC is solely owned by Anthony DeMartines who has been providing rehabilitation and education services in Ontario for over 20 years. He brings to PTC, many years of experience as a WSIB Rehabilitation Counselor and Manager. He has also served as a Director of LMR Services and a Director for Ontario Job Clubs. In his current role of CEO for Progressive Training Centre, Anthony ensures that PTC services are well suited for adults who are eager to get back to work in the shortest amount of time possible.
Progressive Training Centre (PTC) teaches students strategically focused literacy skills that are designed for the modern workforce. Our programs are innovative and are geared to the modern evolving workplace. Our services are an alternative to the traditional academic settings that provide English as a Second Language, Academic Upgrading programs, Skills Training and Tutoring. Some of our programs are value added, as our WLIP (Workplace Language Innovation Program), while others such as our Office Administration Diploma Program offer an accredited diploma certificate.
In addition, PTC provides all eligible students with Job Search Skills, Job leads and a dedicated Placement Specialist. Job search skills are seamlessly integrated into all our programs.
